Quobis to participate at Genband Perspectives15 conference in Orlando as a Kandy ecosystem partner

Market-leading Sippo WebRTC Application Controller to be showcased on the Kandy communications Platform-as-a-Service Vigo, Spain—May 18, 2015—Quobis, a leading provider of carrier-class unified communications solutions, today announced its participation in the GENBAND Perspectives15 Customer and Partner Summit, which will be held at the JW Marriot Orlando, Grande Lakes, FL on May 17-21, 2015.  Perspectives15 is a five-day, must-attend event that brings together the brightest minds in the technology, service provider and enterprise communities. Quobis, a Perspectives15 sponsor, will feature its solutions in the Kandy Ecosystem exhibit. Kandy, is a one-of-a-kind communications platform-as-a-service (PaaS) built on GENBAND’s carrier-grade communications and security technologies. Kandy provides a complete suite of REST APIs, JavaScript libraries and Software Development Kits (SDKs) to speed the deployment of embedded communications in web and mobile applications. Quobis is a leader in the WebRTC client applications domain, building web-based communication tools for service providers and enterprises who want to leverage the full range of potential WebRTC technology and browsers.  Sippo Click-to-Call and Sippo Web Collaborator are two examples of applications with advanced functionalities (call forking, contextual information, interconnection with Network Address Books, etc)  Quobis has successfully tested these WebRTC applications through the Sippo WebRTC Application Controller on the Kandy platform. “With Kandy it’s all about APIs, ease of use and cloud infrastructure” said Andrés Estévez, Head of Development of Quobis. “We have previous experience working with the GENBAND team and their WebRTC solution, but Kandy represents another step in real time communications capabilities via SDKs – all with advantages of cloud architecture.” Sippo WebRTC Application Controller (WAC) is a new product category that manages WebRTC applications, providing seamless integration with existing OSS and BSS in NGN and IMS architectures. SIPPO WAC is fully compliant with the 3GPP reference architecture and includes a number of advanced functionalities that seamlessly work on the Kandy platform and interoperates with existing assets of communications service providers and enterprises (IMS authentication, NAB federation, user provisioning via existing OSS, etc).  The Quobis Sippo applications interoperate with Kandy via the Sippo WAC to federate some services with existing assets. Estévez added, “Perspectives is an excellent opportunity to learn from the experience of Quobis in more than 100 proof-of-concepts and field deployments with tier-one service providers. We are looking forward to showcasing our Sippo WebRTC Application Controller to highlight the various use cases of WebRTC leveraging the endless capabilities of Kandy.” “Perspectives has quickly become one of the signature, must-attend events in the industry and it would not be possible without the support of great partners like Quobis,” said Patrick Joggerst, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at GENBAND. “Quobis aligns with our communications strategy of providing scalable and secure communication solutions through the Kandy platform. We look forward to Quobis contributing to Perspectives15 and helping our customers advance their communications capabilities.
