WebRTC Barcelona meetup - MWC 2015 edition

28 January 2015
The Poblenou campus Auditorium at the University Pompeu Fabra, UPF (Roc Boronat 138, Barcelona) will hold a WebRTC meetup with relevant speakers from the industry on Wednesday 4th of March, 2015, in parallel with the Mobile World Congress. Companies like Quobis, Tokbox (a company of Telefonica), Oracle, Dialogic and Presence Technology are sponsoring this community-driven event. “This started as a small gathering of friends working on the WebRTC space and we have now over 120 engineers registered with a good mix of web developers, academia and telco people who happen to be in town for MWC. Also, we are happy to have an impressive set of speakers willing to share their experiences helping make WebRTC happen in the real field”,  said Victor Pascual-Ávila, Chief Strategy Officer at Quobis and co-founder at WebRTChacks.com, who is organising this event. “Participants will not only have a great opportunity for networking but will also learn the latest on this technology, use cases and related market activities”. Some of the speakers for this meetup include Andreas Gal (CTO at Mozilla), Douglas Tait (Director Telecom Markets at Oracle), Dragana Linfield (Digital Communications Director at Etisalat), Olav Kolbu (CTO & SVP Technology at Telenor Digital) and the new recently appointed CTO at Unify, Stefan Ried. A complete list of speakers and the agenda is available on the site  http://www.meetup.com/WebRTC-Barcelona/events/218798283/. Companies and individuals interested in attending this summit must register at the site of the event. Registration is available for free. Bus transportation from MWC premises to the Universitat Pompeu Fabra will be provided, details to follow soon in the event website.
