– Senior Engineer

1.- Main purpose of the job
You will translate
client project requirements into innovative architectures and provide
creative solutions to design challenges within our focus markets:
telco, callcenter, utilities and defense. Our work ranges from
undertaking complete product developments from concept to market, to
providing consulting services for our clients on their technology or
operacional and network issues.
2.- Main
requirements
To meet the
demanding requirements of this role you will have an excellent graduate degree in telecom, physics or computing and you will
have greater than 4 years experience in an telecom engineering role
3.- Technical
Skills:
-
- Familiarity
with data networking and telephony environments with an emphasis on
Next Generation IP services
-
- Experience
with VoIP protocols (SIP, H332, RTP) in large scale implementations,
including softswitch, gateways and SBC’s configuration
-
- Experience
in designing/development and testing of enterprise and carrier class
systems.

- Must
have an understanding of IP network designs in complex environments
-
- Demonstrated
project management experience with implementing large
IT infrastructure projects
-
Other
desired skills are:
-
- Practical
understanding of Linux/Unix operating system internals at kernel
level.

- Knowledge
of opensource telephony platforms (Asterisk, FreeSwitch, OpenSER)

- R&D
experience with VoIP protocols and networks

Responsibilities
-
- Using
your strong technical expertise to understand client project
requirements, specifications and key technical challenges
-
- Defining
technical solutions, systems architectures and design solutions for
product or system developments,
-
- Writing
project proposals, technical reports and high qualtiy design
documentation
-
- Holding
technical workshops for prospects
-
- Implementation
and testing of the design, along with the rest of the project team
-
- Preparing
high-level & low-level design documents for our proposal and
solutions.

- Responsible
for providing in-depth technical support to the sales organization
in solution selling to service provider, call center and system
integrators
-
- Works
closely with sales to analyze customer technical environments and to
participate in strategic selling initiatives by providing high
quality responses to technical needs and tender preparration,
answering to wide variety of issues such as service solution
definition, equipment features and functionality, equipment
selection and network deployments, trial support and training.
